That photo on the left is what I juiced this morning. Think there's enough vitamin C there? Nope. I also downed an additional 5,000 mg. Are you taking 1,000 mg of vitamin C per day? 2,000? more? Great! But it's probably not enough if you're trying to be proactive and boost your immune system against viruses. BTW, here are a couple of articles that talk about how vitamin C kills viruses. 1. https://www.tandfonline.com/doi/full/10.1080/14787210.2020.1706483 2. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3659258/ HOW MUCH VITAMIN C TO TAKE... The goal is to "titrate to bowel tolerance" What does that mean??? You take as much as you can without getting loose stools/diarrhea. Start out taking 10,000-15,000 mg in 4 divided doses over a 24 hour period. So, start out taking 3-4,000 mg three times per day. If you get loose stools, decrease. If you don't notice anything, increase until you do. Then you will know the dose you can handle. NIH article on Vitamin C to bowel tolerance https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/7321921 Unfortunately, clean sources of vitamin C is becoming scarce. Below are some links. 1. Remember "Tang" as a kid? This vitamin C tastes just like it. http://mystoredrt.dfhealthestore.com/c-bio-fizz-effervescent-144g-powder.html# 2. Here is a good buffered vitamin C in capsules that will not rip up your stomach if you are sensitive to vitamin C https://www.purecapspro.com/drtpromo/pe/products/product_details.asp?ProductsID=1026 3. Here is another one of my favorite buffered vitamin C in tablet form but it's on backorder (will take 1-2 weeks to get) https://ktopouzian.metagenics.com/ultra-potent-c-1000 - It also comes in a powdered form https://ktopouzian.metagenics.com/ultra-potent-c-powder Remember, vitamin C should be cheap (or I should say inexpensive). Liposomal vitamin C is an excellent product but a little pricey considering the amount you will have to take. But if you have it, by all means take it. Questions out there?
