This IV push protocol was originally developed by Jonathan Wright, MD, and Alan Gaby, MD.
It infuses high concentrations of nutrients to quickly boost energy and alkalinize the body. It is similar to the longer Myers' Cocktail and was distilled down to around 25 cc’s that can be pushed quickly for a "pick-me-up", to ward off an infection, a general health and immune booster or alleviation of the problems noted below.
Some patients will opt to do a series of 4-8 of these “Gaby’s”, as they are called for short, at 1-2 per week to get their health improving quickly. This can also be done with the longer, more powerful “Myers' Cocktail”, if the patient needs a stronger version of this I.V. nutrition.
