I get a lot of questions during my stem cell lectures. Below are some of the most commonly asked.
1. Can you be too old for Stem Cell therapy? - No. If you utilize umbilical cord stem cells, your age does not matter. But if you were to go to a physician that was going to use your stem cells from your own bone marrow or adipose tissue (fat cells) then yes. The older you are the older adn less active your own stem cells may be. That is why we recommend Umbilical Cord Stem Cells. They are "young". 2. Are there any long term side effects with Umbilical Cord Stem Cells? - If you try to search for long term side effects, the farthest they go back is 6-10 years with the conclusion being that there are no significant side effects of treatment. It is imiportant to note that Umbilical Cord Stem Cells only stay in your body up to 270 days. 3. Is there DNA is Umbilical Cord Stem Cells? - Yes. But it is not embryonic DNA, it is not maternal DNA, it is Umbilical Cord DNA. And remember, Umbilical Cord Stem Cells do not necessarilly morph into cartilage or nerve tissue, etc. They tell your body to reproduce these different tissues and within 270 days are slowly removed by your immune system. So in essence the DNA for the most part does not stay in your body. 4. Do Umbilical Cord Stem Cells work with autoimmune conditions? - Yes. There are several studies that show that intravenous use of Umbilical Cord Stem Cells reverse the autoimmune condition, repair the injured tissue and remove scarring. 5. How long have Stem Cells been used? - Umbilical Cord Stem Cells have been in use for approximately twenty years. 6. Do treatments have to be repeated? - Depending on the severity of the condition, yes, they may need to be repeated. For a knee injection as an example, 1 in 4 may need a second injection. For autoimmune conditions, it all depends on the severity, the length of time you have had the condition and have you been actively treating the underlying condition(s). 7. How do you inject the Stem Cells into the spine? - We do not go directly into the spine. If you have a bad area in your back from arthritis or chronic muscle spasm, Umbililcal Cord Stem Cells are infiltrated into the surrounding areas.
